Considered by the band as a spacey, mind-bending, polyrhythmic romp through the jungle, the track “(Impure thoughts) Pure cushion” began it gestation period as two separate drum concepts, which later merged. The Chapman Stick and guitar parts which followed solidified the song in the band’s collective mind as a bit of somewhat deranged, psychedelic fun.
